Allegro was developed in 1955 by Betsy and Dave Wilcox, as a way to make their inexpensive meat dinners more tasty. After some experimenting with different tenderizing and marinating techniques, Allegro Original Marinade was born. Since then, Allegro has become a meket leader in marinades thorughout the South, while pioneering an entirely new category in the grocery trade.
